On-Field Officials
- Eligible to be assigned to auxiliary assignments.
- Insurance coverage for accidents related to assignments even covers down through peewee, and non-tackle assignments approved by the Chapter.
- Must pass annual TASO online test, 20 attempts allowed.
- Potentially eligible for varsity on-field assignments but not required nor guaranteed.
- Varsity game day arrival should be at least 90-minutes before kickoff.
- The varsity on-field pay rate is determined by a combination of gate receipts and an added mileage rate.
- Varsity game assignments are predominately made through a coach selection process.
- Sub-varsity and middle school assignments are selected by the officials themselves, through the Chapter Regional Assignors. Request and work assignments based on your individual availability – 0 to 4 days a week, 0 to 4 weeks a month.
- Game day arrival for sub-varsity and middle school assignments should be at least 10-minutes before kickoff.
- Predetermined flat pay rate for each sub-varsity and middle school assignment, with added mileage rate.
Auxiliary Officials
- Cannot officiate on-the-field at any level.
- Only varsity games have TASO auxiliary official assignments. Not all varsity games employ TASO officials for each of the auxiliary positions.
- Game day arrival should be at least 60-minutes prior to kickoff.
- Predetermined flat pay rate for each assignment, no added mileage rate.
- No TASO testing requirement.
