FOOTBALL DIVISION HOUSTON CHAPTER
2020 SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES
We expect to award ten (10) scholarships.
Eligible students shall be a graduating senior from a public, private, parochial, charter or home school serviced by the Houston Chapter.
Scholarships may be awarded only to a participating high school football player, trainer, or manager
The student applying may NOT be attending college on an athletic scholarship.
Only one student per school will be eligible for a scholarship award.
Applicants should demonstrate aptitude at extracurricular activities, community involvement, volunteerism, and citizenship.
A student applying must be pursuing a two or four-year degree at a post-secondary institution.
One or more awards may be a one-time stipend not to exceed one thousand five hundred U.S. dollars ($1,500) and most will be a one-time stipend of one thousand U.S. dollars ($1,000) and will be issued by the Houston Chapter, TASO-Football to the bursar of the aforementioned institution.
One (1) of the scholarships MAY be awarded to a relative of a member in good standing of the Houston Chapter, TASO- Football and this will be known as the Sam Brown Memorial Scholarship.
The winners will be determined by the Houston Chapter, TASO- Football Scholarship Committee, headed by the Division IV Board Representative and a minimum of four (4) other members in good standing with TASO and the Houston Chapter.
Winners will be selected by May 15th, 2020 and notified shortly thereafter.
